Mining Operative - Monaghan

An exciting opportunity has presented itself in our Mine. We are seeking to recruit an Experienced Mining Operative for our Drummond Mine, Co. Monaghan.

The successful candidate must have an extensive proven track record of underground & open pit mining experience, strong safety awareness and is flexible to work shift work and weekends if required. Applicants must be technically strong with proven skills and experience in a mining operational role sustaining quality and quantity to meet customer demands.

Applicants should possess a leaving certificate, and the ability to operate a Drill, Load Haul Dump Machine, Mechanical Scaler, Truck are desirable. Must be comfortable with working in a highly regulated environment, with a dedication to Health and Safety, Quality and Customer Service.

Applicants will be expected to work as part of a team and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to working safely and sustainably with a strong emphasis on meeting customer demand, quality and a dedication to continuous improvement and operating in a world class environment.

Leaving Certificate essential, QSCS & Shift Boss Certificate desirable but not essential. The successful candidate must have good interpersonal skills and a clear understanding of mining safety, production and cost targets.
