Accounts Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a permanent Accounts Assistant to join our expanding head office in Springfield as soon as possible.   

This role supports the Financial Controller in a range of financial aspects, with an emphasis on stock management and management accounts.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Administration and reconciliation of inter-branch accounts.
  • Dealing with payment queries between branches and NPC.
  • Compiling information for KPI’s and reporting on sales/margin/debtor days
  • Involvement in the preparation of information for both ‘Hot’ profits and management accounts.
  • Visiting branches to ensure compliance of Business Controls manual.
  • Supporting the branches in preparation for internal compliance audits.
  • Assisting at month end for financial reporting purposes
  • Assisting in the production of management accounts
  • Bi-Weekly Sales Invoicing
  • Miscellaneous reporting for stock management / projects

This job role requires an individual with a strong work ethic and an excellent understanding of financial processes.

Further to this, an ideal candidate will be/have;

  • Proven experience working in a similar role
  • Strong  IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of the building trade
  • Methodical, with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Good communication skills
