Sales Manager
Following the recent announcement that Michael Brogan will step down from a full-time role within PDM in the final quarter of 2017 and will become our Sales Ambassador a vacancy now arises for the position of Sales Manager.
This role is being advertised in PDM, Saint-Gobain and within the Irish market. The purpose of the role is to deliver profitable growth for the treated timber fencing business in Ireland in line with the Poles group strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Delivering annual revenue margin & market share growth targets for the treated timber fencing business on the island of Ireland
- In line with Poles & Treated Timber branding principles liaise with Business Director & marketing support on the appropriate architecture of the commercial product & service proposition for each target customer group ensuring it is appropriate for the relevant market segments for each business; Contractors, Distributors, & Agricultural Merchants on the island.
- To develop key contacts from main fencing contractors in order to secure specifications for large upgrades/redesigns of stud farms across the island.
- To support the Business Director in the managing the relationships with major National Accounts (e.g. FRS, Glanbia Agribusiness, ACTS, SGBD etc.) in order to improve the margin mix and maximise profitability on the island of Ireland
- Liaise with Business Director on the process of customer classification in order to determine rebate (bonus) structures and manage the customer mix to maximise profit for the island of Ireland.
- Anticipate and inform Business Director of future customer/market requirements and the steps to fulfil them.
- Project lead the integration of SAGE & CRM to the new ICON business management plat for the commercial function within PDM.
- Liaise with the Sales Office Manager to ensure complaint handling; project tracking; route planning; customer record; and product distribution are fully maintained.
- Adhere to Saint-Gobain commercial principles under PCA and ICRF.
- Ensure that the customer experience process is enhanced as measured by the Saint-Gobain NPS.
